Meet our CEO and Owner, Ryan Surroz

Ryan believes in God, America and the right to great tasting jerky! He earned a masters degree in meat snack connoisseur while serving his country 80 feet underground in a nuclear missile bunker, chewing jerky to stay awake during the long (and thankfully uneventful) graveyard shifts. After his illustrious yet top secret military service (and before detonating any warheads), Ryan shifted into the corporate world and developed a knack for growing and selling businesses.

During the pandemic days of 2020, Ryan made a completely rational move from the Oil & Gas industry into Meat Snacks when he acquired Savage Jerky Co. The Savage branding of a bearded dude on matte black perfectly embodied military grit, and Ryan instilled a core principle for Savage Jerky to showcase patriotic pride and honor our brave service members. Then Ryan earned a promotion to Jerky Czar when he acquired Perky Jerky, which provided a differentiated yet complementary offering with bold and tender turkey jerky.

Now with two bold brands, Ryan has mountains of meat to satisfy every jerky fan.

Fortuitously he discovered Savage Jerky Co., a meat snacks brand with some success in e-commerce, and took over control of the company in 2020.
